Mike is a Senior Portfolio Manager at Stoker Ostler, assisting clients in identifying financial goals and establishing investment strategies to reach those goals. Mike offers a depth of experience in trusts, endowments, pensions, mutual funds and institutional investing. He is a member of Stoker Ostler’s investment committee, which sets investment policies and portfolio strategies for the group. Mike joined Stoker Ostler in 2003 with nearly two decades of experience, including as a team member responsible for the management of an equity mutual fund with more than $1 billion in assets.
Mike is a CFA® charterholder and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. He is a current member and past president of the Phoenix Society of Financial Analysts and is a member of the CFA Institute. Mike also served as board member for the City of Phoenix Deferred Compensation Plan Trust. He received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Wichita State University.
Mike is an avid hiker and has led groups into the Grand Canyon. His love of the outdoors led him to participate in the assistance of a development of an investment policy for the McDowell Mountain Preserve. Mike has also served on the Valley Youth Theater board, is the finance chair for his church and helped build a school in Guatemala.
Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and federally registered CFP (with flame design) in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.
